Physiotherapy Department

The Physiotherapy Departments are located in the Main Hospital and Glen Units. Our staff consists of six part time Physiotherapists and two Physiotherapy Assistants.

We are committed to providing a high quality service which is sensitive to the needs of our clients. All Physiotherapists participate fully in Multidisciplinary Team Meetings and are active on various hospital committees.

We promote and support education and continuing professional development within our Department.

Services

The Physiotherapy Department provides a service to residents of Leopardstown Park Hospital and the Clevis Welfare Home as well as those availing of Respite Care, Glencairn Day Centre Services and Carman Day Centre Services.

The Department is open Monday to Friday 8.30am-4pm

Comprehensive assessment precedes individualised treatment (including Home Exercise Programmes and advice where appropriate)

Referrals

Referrals can be made by Medical Officer, Clinical Nurse Mangers or other Allied Health Professionals.
